Dr. Kamal Verma was born in Nairobi, Kenya and immigrated to Canada in 1968. He grew up in Swift Current. He took his schooling at the University of Saskatchewan and graduated from the College of Dentistry in 1985. Upon graduation, he bought a practice in the Medical Arts Building and then opened a second clinic on Pinehouse Drive. In 1990 he closed the downtown practice and worked solely at Pinehouse Dental Office. He taught at the University of Saskatchewan College of Dentistry for over 20 years and earned the rank of Part-Time Clinical Associate Professor. Currently, he continues to teach once a week.
Dr. Verma is married and has four children. He has coached both soccer and basketball in Lawson Heights. His interests include: cooking, golfing, gardening and reading. Family is important to him and as a result he enjoys spending his time with them whether it be at one of their athletic activities or on vacation.
Dr. Verma will have been running his practice for 39 years in 2024. He continues to take education courses so he can stay on top of the ever-changing technology in Dentistry. He still is passionate about what he does and treats his patients as his “extended” family.
