Dr. Mi Seong D’Souza, better known to everyone as Missy, knew she wanted to be a dentist at 3 years old! With a warm and gentle personality, she puts even the most apprehensive patient at ease. Born in Daegu, South Korea, Missy grew up in Sudbury, Ontario. She has a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Dalhousie University and an Honours Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry from Laurentian University. During her academic years, Missy was awarded 3 prestigious grants to conduct research at the University of Toronto. Her work on the biodegradation of dental composites, or “white fillings” was presented at the leading forum for dental research – The International Association for Dental Research General Session. She is also an author of 2 papers in the scientific literature.
