i! Thanks for taking an interest in our practice. I was born and raised in Long Beach, California where I attended the University of California – Los Angeles (UCLA) and obtained my Bachelors of Science degree in biochemistry. Being a true UCLA Bruin, I decided to also pursue my Doctor of Dental Surgery degree (DDS) at UCLA. It was during a volunteer dental mission in Mexico that I realized my passion was to be with kids and help them achieve better oral health.
This led me to dedicate my career to specialize in children where I completed my residency in pediatric dentistry at UCLA. I had the opportunity to work with medical experts at the world famous Rady’s Children’s Hospital in San Diego, California where I had extensive experience working with children with special needs. I also have experience working at the San Ysidro Community Health Clinic working with low-income populations. No matter what these children’s backgrounds were, my goal as a pediatric dentist was always the same: to create a positive dental experience and work with families to find ways to prevent dental cavities.
After my residency program, I wanted to experience life outside of California, and decided to move to Upstate New York working at a community clinic serving the low-income families of Rochester, NY. While living in Rochester, my husband, a Toronto native, and I frequented weekend trips to Toronto. It was at those times where I fell in love with Canada appreciating its ethnic diversity, friendliness and multiculturalism. We then decided to make the move to Burlington to start our family here. We both had negative dental experiences as children so we wanted to build a dental clinic that would not only provide children with a positive and FUN dental experience. but also an educational one for parents.
