Dr. Nancy” started her career in dentistry a little later than most. A stay at home Mom to three, now grown, sons she began here pursuit of a career in dentistry at the tender age of 35. After attending St. Francis Xavier University in Antigonish for three years she earned early acceptance into the Dalhousie University Dentistry program. Graduating with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree (DDS) she received numerous accolades, including awards for proficiency in Periodontics, interest and high achievement in public health or outreach dentistry, outstanding achievement in dentistry and most coveted a Memorial prize for professional and compassionate treatment in the care of her patient family. Following graduation and time in general practice, Dr. Nancy, recognising a passion for treatment of children, was accepted in a dental residency program at the I.W.K Health Centre. This training included rotations through various hospital departments together with extensive training in conscious sedation and experience in an operating room setting.
