Dr Blight graduated from the University of Toronto Faculty of Dentistry in 1989. He completed a 1-year Internship at St Michael’s Hospital in Toronto followed by 4-year specialty program in Oral and Maxillofacial surgery at the University of Manitoba. He received his fellowship in Oral and Maxillofacial surgery in 1994. Dr Blight worked as an assistant professor in the undergraduate Oral Surgery clinic at the University of Manitoba College of Dentistry from 1994-2015. He provided on-call services for the Grace Hospital from 1994-2012. Dr Blight is extensively trained in various aspects of oral and maxillofacial surgery including severe facial trauma, reconstructive surgery, TMJ surgery, surgical pathology, minor oral surgery and anesthesia. His practice now primarily focuses on minor in-office oral surgery as well as hospital-based oral surgery treatment when indicated.
