It is most rewarding to witness a child with dental fear become a child that loves going to the dentist. I consider it a privilege to participate in a child’s first dental visit. Children are fun, unpredictable, and brutally honest. They make me smile. Every day at work I am rewarded by my interaction with children and their parents. Since 2011, I have had the good fortune of leading a family-friendly practice focused on giving children a positive dental experience in a personalized, no-rush environment. As children maintain their perceptions of dental treatment into adulthood, I believe it is my responsibility to ensure each of their visits is friendly, relaxed, and stress-free. This includes setting aside time to interact with the children, as well as to explain treatment plans to parents. I also try to educate parents about the roles of oral hygiene, diet, and fluoride in maintaining oral and general health.
